DEEPBLU’s Ocean-Recycled Nylon Fabric Wins Global Sustainability Award: Pioneering a Tech-Driven Future for Outdoor Gear
Revolutionary 3L Eco-Regeneration System Honored as "Best Sustainable Application" March 11, 2025 Global high-performance textile technology brand DEEPBLU announced today that its innovative marine-recycled nylon tricot 3L eco-friendly recycled fabric has won the "Best Sustainable Application Award" at the 2025 International High-Performance Textiles Summit (Performance Days SS25). The fabric stood out from 596 entries worldwide. The award, jointly reviewed by authoritative experts in the outdoor, sports, and fashion fields, signifies international recognition of DEEPBLU's practice of promoting the circular economy through technological innovation. From Discarded Fishing Nets to High-Performance Fabric: A Symbiotic Revolution of Environmental Protection and Technology The award-winning 3L fabric uses 48% marine-recycled nylon from discarded fishing nets as its core material, in collaboration with the marine fishing net recycled nylon raw material brand InResST™ to achieve a closed-loop resource regeneration. Compared to traditional nylon materials, each ton of recycled nylon reduces carbon emissions by 91%, energy consumption by 90%, and water consumption by 95%, directly addressing the pollution pain points of the textile industry. DEEPBLU has for the first time applied its eco-friendly, fluorine-free electrospinning nanomembrane technology to a three-layer composite structure, creating an ultra-lightweight fabric with 10,000mm waterproof pressure, 30,000g/m²/24h moisture permeability, and 0.2 CFM breathability. Additionally, the three-line ripstop tear-resistant weaving process ensures durability in harsh outdoor environments. "This is not just a piece of fabric; it is a long-term commitment to marine ecology," said DEEPBLU CEO Sam Xu. The technology has already been verified for large-scale production and can be widely applied to outdoor scenarios such as waterproof jackets and trail running gear, meeting consumers' multiple needs for lightweight protection, extreme breathability, and environmental responsibility. The Commercial Value Behind Sustainable Storytelling: Technological Patents Build Competitive Barriers The jury pointed out that DEEPBLU's breakthrough lies in balancing environmental protection and commercial feasibility: Raw Material End:...
